The institutional crypto inflows rebounded last week after Bitcoin-related products attracted significant investment. In total, investors poured nearly $71 million into BTC investment products.

Last week, digital asset investment products saw inflows worth $85 million. In the past three weeks, total institutional inflows in crypto products have reached $133 million. Apart from Bitcoin, a wide range of altcoins have gained the attention of institutional investors recently.

Solana, Polkadot and Cardano witnessed inflows totaling $2.4 million, $2.2 million and $1.1 million, respectively. Digital asset Terra saw a massive spike in inflows last week. Despite the rising popularity of BTC, SOL, DOT, ADA and LUNA among institutional investors, Ethereum saw a bearish trend with outflows totaling $8.5 million in the previous week.

“Digital asset investment products saw inflows totaling US$85m last week, marking the 3rd week of inflows totaling US$133m, suggesting continued positive sentiment amongst investors. Total assets under management (AuM) now total US$52.4bn with January 24th marking the low point in the most recent run of negative sentiment. While Europe has seen inflows (US$10.3m), the majority has been from the Americas, particularly Brazil and Canada (US$75m),” CoinShares noted in its report.

    Bitcoin AUM

Due to the market dip in December 2021 and January 2022, the overall value of global Bitcoin assets under management have declined substantially. According to the report from CoinShares, the total value of global BTC AUM reached $34.4 billion last week. Ethereum came in the second spot with almost $13 billion worth of assets under management.

“Bitcoin continues to lead the inflows with US$71m last week, the largest since early December with this 3-week run of inflows totaling US$108m. Volumes in Bitcoin investment products remained low last week at US$1.8bn versus US$3.4bn the previous week,” CoinShares added.

Yesterday, BTC jumped above the price level of $44,300 for the first time since 13 January 2022.

  • Bitcoin Leads As Markets Sees Record Outflows. Bear Market Incoming?

Bitcoin Leads As Markets Sees Record Outflows. Bear Market Incoming?

    [ad_1]

Bitcoin and altcoins have not had the best week according to reports coming out of the market. The crypto market as a whole has been enjoying months of continuous inflows following hot on the heels of the recent market rally. It has pushed crypto-assets such as bitcoin towards new highs as inflows had hit a new record alongside assets under management. But it seems that this is changing.

Coming off the back of what was 17 consecutive weeks of inflows, the market is now seeing movement in the opposite direction. While assets such as ethereum had previously recorded outflows at various times, they had been isolated to a select few. Now the whole market is seeing its first week of outflows after four months of inflows, setting a record at the same time.

    Largest Record Outflows

The total amount of outflows for last week came out to a total of $142 million. This marked the first week of outflows after a 17-week inflows streak that brought assets under management towards record highs. Not only was this the first week of outflows following over four months of inflows, but it is also the largest weekly outflow from the crypto market on record.

This follows an impressive rally from the crypto market where major cryptocurrencies touched towards a new high. There have been sell-offs all across the market as investors have taken profit and institutional investors are not left out. However, the outflows, despite being a record high, represent only a small total (0.23%) of the asset under management and are also meager compared to the outflows of 2018 that touched as high as 1.6% of total AuM.

The total inflows for the year had reached a record high of $9.5 billion, almost 50% higher than the record that was set in 2020 of $6.7 billion. So despite the outflows, inflows for the year still remain at a record high.

CoinShares also notes that the crypto market is not the only one that has recorded outflows either. Risk assets have all seen outflows after the U.S. Fed had released its statement on tapering.

    Bitcoin Leads Outflows

Bitcoin took the lead for the asset with the most outflows for the week. The digital asset had seen its price plummet back to below $50,000 since hitting its all-time high of $69K but had continued to maintain inflows in the weeks following that. This marks the first outflows for over 17 weeks but remains firmly below outflows levels recorded in June that touched as high as $150 million.

Ethereum has alternated between inflows and outflows for the last 17 weeks. The second-largest cryptocurrency also saw record outflows for the week with a total of $64 million in outflows as it continues to counter bitcoin’s outflows.

Solana, Polkadot, and multi-asset investment products were spared of the onslaught as they saw $6.7 million, $2.5 million, and $1.5 million in inflows respectively.

  • Celestial Leads The Future Of Cross-Chain Gaming Metaverse | by Bit Media Buzz | Oct, 2021

Celestial Leads The Future Of Cross-Chain Gaming Metaverse | by Bit Media Buzz | Oct, 2021

    [ad_1]

    Bit Media Buzz

Finland, Helsinki, October 29, 2021. Coming up as a first-mover on the adoption of blockchain gaming metaverse on the OEC public chain (formerly known as OKExChain) is Celestial, a cross-chain gaming metaverse trending in the crypto airwaves. Deploying the concept of galactic warfare, Celestial combines the concept of GameFi, SocialFi, and NFTSwap to bring one of the finest innovations to the gaming metaverse.

Celestial has grown in popularity in the blockchain gaming ecosystem since its inception. Racking up some impressive figures, Celestial initiated a public BETA test on September 14 that contributed to over 70% of OEC public chain trading activity, resulting in high congestion of the OKexchain, with daily transactions topping 1 million at the time.

After a series of rigorous testing, the official version of the Celestial gaming platform went live on September 29th. Commenting on the impressive launch, the Celestial team reiterated their commitment to the long-term sustainability of the Celestial project:

“We are excited about the launch of our gaming platform. Being the brainchild of a multi-month period of development, innovation, and rigorous backend testing, this marks the beginning of an important phase in the Celestial roadmap just before our token generation events and subsequent listing on exchanges. We are excited about what the future holds for the blockchain gaming metaverse and we are happy to be leading this adoption.”

The Celestial platform is built to enable game players to create federations in the Celestial world, explore planets and galaxy clusters, and mine rich minerals and different resources as part of a meta-universe star-wars style game using GameFi + SocialFi + NFTSwap.

Leading up to TGE: $CELT token has recorded eye-popping success

While the impressive launch of the Celestial gaming metaverse comes as no surprise, seeing that blockchain gaming adoption has maintained an upward trajectory, the token generation event (TGE) also recorded impressive numbers. The token price soared to the top gainers category after listing on OKEx, a leading Asia-based crypto exchange.

CELT is the native token that powers the Celestial metaverse economy and is primarily used to settle all transactions in the Celestial metaverse. Since debuting on OKEx, CELT has amassed massive success for token holders after rising to the top-performing assets on the OEC public chain just after 15 days of trading activities.

Celestial dual token rotation system reduces selling pressure on CELTs

Celestial adopts a unique token system that allows a dual token rotation mechanism. In addition to $CELT, there is a sub token known as Crystals which is engineered to reduce the selling pressure on CELTs and benefit token holders in the long run.

Through an in-house mechanism known as Pledge Mining, Celestial incorporates some DeFi futures into its ecosystem to reward players.

Gamers may utilize this function to pledge mainstream currency like fiat for energy stones (CELT), which can be used to open mystery chests or traded for mainstream currency in CherrySwap. Celestial has introduced an intriguing feature to the DeFi pledge mining — the energy stone mining accelerator, xCELT, which can generate up to three times the earnings of CELT.

To obtain xCELT, users simply need to mortgage CELT. As the total mining power increases, more xCELT will be needed to keep the process running, which ultimately cushions selling pressure. Currently, the project seems to be pivoting towards decentralized finance while developing its GameFi and SocialFi features. According to Celestial:

“We think that a healthy self-rotating economic system is essential for every project; once economic development has reached its ideal state, we will enhance SocialFi and GameFi features, and the game launch will be completed.”

The warring gaming platform seeks to create a socially permeable interplanetary exploration chain game, with player community culture as the pioneer with gaming and decentralized finance as the support. As the blockchain gaming ecosystem expands, Celestial is positioning itself to lead the adoption of the cross-chain warring metaverse.

Bitcoin Leads Charge Of Large Cap Altcoin Dominance In October

    [ad_1]

Bitcoin has regained dominance over the market in recent times. The digital asset has seen price recover towards previous highs, with less than 1% left for it to surpass its previous all-time high. This has so far renewed faith in the asset and the market and has seen sentiment move into the positive in the broader crypto market. Bitcoin has not shown any signs of slowing down since then.

On the index side, bitcoin has not taken any prisoners in its market domination. The digital asset has crushed every single index in the market and has outperformed indexes from small to mid-size, bar the Large Cap Index. BTC price shows that the asset is back in the lead. Trends show that it has only begun to rally. With October margins showing a 180% turn from September lows. This is quite simply bitcoin’s season.

Bitcoin Takes Charge Of The Market

Bitcoin’s numbers for the month have been nothing short of exceptional. It has led the charge for the massive recoveries that have been witnessed in the market. Small And Mid Cap Indexes Not Faring As Well

Small and Mid Cap Indexes have also recovered in the month of October but compared to bitcoin and the Large Cap Index, they have not fared as well in the market. Arcane Research reported that the Small and Mid Cap Indexes have recorded growth of 16% and 11% respectively.
